Overview
This 2.97mm is the perfect replacement to the stock GoPro lens if you desire as wide a field of view (FOV) as possible without the fisheye curved barrel distortion. Since it is only a 5MP (megapixel) lens, capturing media in a higher resolution (4K video, 7MP, 11MP, & 12MP photos) will be less sharp as compared to the stock lens. Please see the Example Media tab for examples of videos and 12MP photos taken with this lens. The design of this lens can cause the lens to produce more lens flare than the stock lens, so using a lens hood or circular polarizer filter will greatly reduce it. If you are looking for a sharper lens please see our other lenses with MP rating higher than 5MP.
