A PBK Reviews’ teardown video of the just-released Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 has surfaced. The detailed video showed strong similarities between the new clamshell and its predecessor, even on the repairability scale.

The Galaxy Z Flip4 comes with a lot of hype and expected significant improvements over its predecessor. The new teardown video provides the repairability details of the Galaxy Z Flip4.

The PBK Reviews repairability video shows that the Galaxy Z Flip4 can be easily disassembled and repaired, similar to the Galaxy Z Flip3. The device has no major design changes from its predecessor, both inside and out. The battery of the Galaxy Z Flip4 is divided into two parts and its removal requires some care and the use of isopropyl alcohol. The larger part of the battery is located under several other components, so it takes a lot of effort to reach it.

The teardown video also showed how fragile the Z Flip4's display is. Its internal screen should be handled with care, similar to the Z Flip3. There are only minor differences between the internal architecture of the Z Flip 3 and the Z Flip4. One such difference is that the ports have been moved to opposite sides, and the battery on the new model is connected to the motherboard under the cameras.

The mmWave 5G antenna on the new model has been reduced from two to one, while the space for the second antenna has been left unused. Aside from these differences, the hardware of both devices remains similar and both have the same repairability rating.
